Each year, the Standup for the Cure live events attract thousands of participants nationwide in support of their mission to build community, promote an active, healthy lifestyle, and save lives through early breast cancer detection, treatment, and education.

Our 2020 virtual event will allow participants to support this important cause virtually – while practicing yoga, paddling (canoe, kayak, SUP, paddleboard), dancing, hiking, running, CrossFit, Pilates, or other wellness activities. Participants can then share their experience in a simple image or story that will be posted on our web site and social media as the official SUFTC 2020 Scrapbook.

How to participate during the event:

Here are some ideas and guidelines on how you can virtually participate in the 3-day virtual event:

REPRESENT!
Wear your jersey and your Standup for the Cure gear.

STANDUP YOUR WAY
Practice yoga, paddle (canoe, kayak, SUP, paddleboard), dance, hike, run, walk, or some other wellness activities – and take pictures!

POST PICTURES, UPDATES, STORIES DURING THE 3-DAY EVENT
Post on social media with the event hashtags and tag Standup for the Cure:
If you post on Facebook or Instagram, tag @standupforthecure
If you post on Twitter, tag @standup4thecure
Use the hashtags #2020virtualSUFTC #SUFTC #keepstandupafloat

How to start fundraising:

1. Register for the event: 

Select registration with a standard jersey or limited edition ‘Ohana jersey and choose whether to fundraise as a team, join a team, or fundraise as an individual.

2. Confirm and enable your fundraiser:

Watch for your confirmation emails and click the confirmation links to confirm/enable your fundraiser.

3.Customize your fundraising page:

Follow the links in your confirmation emails, or log in to your GoFundMe (formerly Crowdrise) account and click on the “My Campaigns” link in the top-right dropdown menu.  Click “Edit” on your campaign, and the “Edit” again on your team page. Here, you will be able to update your campaign name, photo, story, and fundraising goal.

Make sure to send the link to your friends, family, colleagues, etc. to let them know you are fundraising!
