How to Apply for Community Grants
The promise of Susan G. Komen® is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures. For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2014, Komen Dallas County is investing more than $1.8 million in 11 local community programs. The Affiliate funds non-duplicative, community-based breast health education and breast cancer screening, diagnostic, and treatment projects for the medically underserved in Dallas County. In addition to funding local outreach projects, Susan G. Komen® runs one of the most innovative, responsive grant programs in breast cancer today. Our Affiliate is proud to have contributed more than $610,000 toward research in 2012-2013.
Applications will be accepted for breast health or breast cancer screening, treatment, education, or support project in Dallas County starting September 15, 2013 for the fiscal year April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2015. Projects that specifically address the objectives outlined in the “Funding Priorities” in the application will be given priority.

Attendance at a grant writing workshop and GeMS training is required for all applicants that did not attend a training in 2012. A Grant Writing Workshop for the 2014-2015 grant cycle will be hosted at the Komen Dallas County office on:

Applications for the 2014-2015 grant cycle are due November 22nd at 12:00 CST (noon).
