ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
With more than 154,000 men and women currently living with Stage 4 Breast Cancer (also known as metastatic breast cancer or MBC) in the United States and nearly 1,000 residents in Orange County impacted by this disease, Komen Orange County is working to create a community of patients, caregivers, and medical professionals to share new information, practical resources, and support.
Komen OC’s Spring 2020 conference will educate the MBC community by bringing patients, providers, researchers, and caregivers together to share knowledge on scientific breakthroughs and latest advancements in MBC treatment, ongoing MBC research, clinical trial availability, integrative medicine, and disease recurrence and progression.
Our goal is to give a voice to metastatic patients and provide the latest information on current and engaging scientific discoveries, clinical trial opportunities, and the tools and techniques to live the best life possible while in ongoing treatment.

2019 CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS
Last spring, Komen Orange County hosted its inaugural Metastatic Breast Cancer Conference at the UCI Conference Center. Nearly 300 participants gathered to hear health experts discuss strides in metastatic breast cancer research and clinical trials. In addition, there were powerfulstories from OC residents currently living with MBC who illustrated how they’ve turned their diagnosis into action. Moderated breakout sessions covered brain, bone, lung, liver, and visceral metastatis as well as resources for those living with MBC and their families/caregivers. Watch the recap video!
